Illinois Sister Cities Association

Urbana is a member of the Illinois Sister Cities Association (ISCA), a not-for-profit state-wide organization chartered under Sister Cities International. Its members are Illinois cities which have established international Sister Cities partnerships with communities around the globe. ISCA’s annual meetings are held in different cities in Illinois each year. The Illinois Sister Cities Association currently has 40 Sister Cities members maintaining 91 global partnerships.

The ISCA provides information, collaboration and assistance to local Sister Cities organizations and towns looking to start or maintain a Sister Cities program in Illinois. ISCA also strives to strengthen the sister cities network through strategic institutional partnerships, grants, programs, and support for our state-wide membership. It motivates and empowers private citizens, municipal officials and business leaders to conduct long-term, mutually beneficial, sister city, county or state relationships.
