The City of Urbana and the Urbana HOME Consortium (comprised of the City of Urbana, City of Champaign, and Champaign County) seek citizen input regarding community needs for the preparation of the City of Urbana & Urbana HOME Consor-tium Consolidated Plan for Fiscal Years (FY) 2010-2014 and the Annual Action Plan (AAP) for FY 2010-2011.
The Consolidated Plan is a comprehensive 5-year planning document that identifies the community’s affordable housing and community development needs, and establishes a planning process for prioritizing the strategies. These needs will be considered in determining the use of the City of Urbana Commu-nity Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Consortium funding.
The AAP establishes budgets for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) Programs.

Market at the Square launches its 31st season at 7 AM on Saturday, May 1, 2010. The Illinois Marathon will go right through downtown Urbana, close to the Market site!
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—October 14, 2009
The City of Urbana’s Market at the Square invites Market patrons and their kids to Sprouts at the Market, a produce-tasting/nutrition information event geared toward children ages 4-10. The season’s fourth and final Sprouts event, a self-guided market tour learning about fall and winter foods, will also feature a take-home Sprouts bag and trick-or-treating for produce for participants. The event will take place on Saturday, October 24.
Sprouts at the Market programming encourages young Market patrons - and their adults! - to learn about eating seasonally and healthfully in Illinois. In addition to meeting local farmers and receiving nutrition information, each child will have a chance to sample some of the fruits, vegetables, cheese, honey, and other farm products available at the Market.
Parade begins at 2000 block of S. Philo Rd, runs to Florida Ave. and moves west to Vine St.
End at Illinois St. for the MUSTER until 11:00 AM
