The City of Urbana is transitioning to a new eProcurement system called OpenGov for publishing solicitations, and receiving vendor responses. Register your account early to begin receiving email notifications of bid/RFP postings.  Registration is 100% free for vendors!

Prevailing Wage Act

The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) requires contractors or subcontractors to pay prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics who perform work on a public works project. (4) Scott SKA PAK Escape Pack, SAR model, EZ Flo with vibralert, Kevlar harness, 4500 psi

(12) pneumatic SAR hose, 100’ sections. 1200’ total length.

The deadline for quotes is 6/30/2020 at 3:00 p.m.

CLOSED-Request for Email Quotes: Radar Unit Replacements (1920-40)

The Urbana Police Department is seeking quotes for new hand-held portable stationary radar guns.  Current devices are Genesis Directional and Falcon HR radar guns.  The new devices should have similar functionalities.  Trade-ins of the old devices in conjunction with purchase of new devices would be preferable.  The department desires to replace seven of our current devices. 

 The deadline for quotes is 06/26/20 at 7:00 a.m.  Email quotes are preferred but can also be submitted by mail to the contact person listed below.  Questions should also be directed to the contact person via email or phone.

The City of Urbana Police Department is seeking bids for the purchase of pistols, holsters and weapons-mounted lights to replace the current inventory. The Urbana Police Department also would require that the vendor accept the current inventory of pistols as trade for fair market value. The Department requests that Urbana Police officers be given a reasonable opportunity to purchase their specific pistols back from the vendor for what the vendor paid the department plus any paper work fee. The Department will require 30 days from the time the new pistols and accessories arrive to facilitate a changeover. The Department will then deliver the old inventory to the vendor. Vendors must submit a complete bid to the Urbana Police Department by 2:00 PM June 25, 2020.

Sealed bids will be accepted at the Public Works Department, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, Illinois 61802, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Bids will be accepted up to and no later than 9:00 AM CST, Friday, June 12, 2020.
