Prevailing Wage Act

The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) requires contractors or subcontractors to pay prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics who perform work on a public works project. The City is seeking bids from qualified vendors for supply and delivery of the City's annual requirement for virgin lubricating oils to be used in its City Fleet. These purchases are made in bulk 55-gallon drums, 5-gallon lots, and case lots of quart bottles. All oils must meet the minimum specifications or latest revision of A.P.I. service classification for each specified product. Any deviation and deletions from these published specifications must be outlined and attached.
