Urbana Free Library Board
The Library Board of Trustees approves an annual budget for the library and requests the corresponding levy from the Urbana City Council, is charged with setting policy for the library, anticipates and directs the development of future library services, and hires the Executive Director.
The Board is composed of nine members appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council, and serve 3-year terms.
All members must be residents of the City of Urbana, and no more than one may be a member of the City Council.
The board meets at 7:00 pm the second Tuesday of each month at the Urbana Free Library or via Zoom. Please check the agenda.
