East University Lane Closure at North Maple Intersection

Cross Construction will be installing a storm inlet east of the intersection of East University Avenue and North Maple Street. The outside (south) lane of eastbound traffic on University Avenue will be closed just east of its intersection with Maple Street starting on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 7:00 a.m. until Friday, November 21, 2014 at 5:00 p.m., weather permitting. University Avenue will remain open to traffic at all times during the storm sewer construction work.

West University Avenue Sidewalk Closure from Lincoln Avenue to Goodwin Avenue

The sidewalk on the north side of West University Avenue will be closed to through pedestrian traffic from Lincoln Avenue to Goodwin Avenue starting on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 7:00 a.m. to Friday, December 19, 2014 at 5:00 p.m., weather permitting, for construction activities on the Campus Circle Project at 1010 West University Avenue. Pedestrian access will be maintained to all properties along the north side of West University Avenue.


Pedestrian traffic will be detoured to the sidewalk on the south side of West University Avenue at the Lincoln and Goodwin Avenue intersections during the closure.

East Main Street and North Vine Street Lane Closures

Illinois American Water will be repairing a leaking water valve on the northwest corner of intersection of East Main and North Vine Street. There will be lane closures for south bound traffic on Vine Street and west bound traffic on Main Street starting Monday, November 3, 2014 at 7:00 a.m. through Friday, November 7, 2014 at 5:00 p.m., weather permitting. Both North Vine Street and East Main Street will remain open to traffic at all times.
