South Ridge offers a quiet community feel all while being a quick walk, bike, or ride away from local amenities. Multi-use paths provide homeowners with opportunities for biking and walking within the neighborhood.
Think Urbana lowers the cost of new residential construction. Participants in the program can save 55% off property taxes on their new house in Urbana during the first five years and pay no sales tax on construction materials.

City of Urbana Public Works Department crews currently have the streets cleared.
We are now prioritizing driveways blocked with City trees and hazards in the public right-of-way.
Crews will continue today until dark, after which only identified priority hazards will be addressed. Work on hazard mitigation will then resume tomorrow around 8am.
Right-of-way clean-up efforts will begin Tuesday.
Southeast Urbana was hit hard last night by high winds that toppled trees and damaged houses. METCAD received one call last night that a funnel cloud was sighted near Race Street and Windsor Road. A tornado was not confirmed.
Urbana Police and Fire Department personnel are patrolling the area in search of individuals in need of assistance. We have had no reports of injuries due to the storm. Urbana Public Works crews are out in force with clean-up operations. All roads are passable, but please use caution. City crews will remove debris from City trees in the right of way. Homeowners are responsible for tree and brush removal for trees on private property. We encourage residents to contact their insurance companies for information and assistance.
