The City of Urbana wishes you and yours a Happy Independence Day! Our regular business offices will be closed on July 4, 2024, to commemorate the holiday. We will resume regular hours on Friday, July 5, 2024.
A household hazardous waste collection event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 17, 2024, in Champaign County. This event is sponsored by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) and is free and open to all Illinois residents. Registration is required to attend the event. Urbana Pops Orchestra is celebrating its 15th season with a free concert in the auditorium at Urbana High School at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 15.
Rags to Rhapsody will feature music from the musical Ragtime, a preview of the cast of Oliver!, Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, and Buster Keaton's silent film One Week with UPO playing along.
Due to the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 27, 2024, all U-Cycle collection routes will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week. The holiday schedule is as follows:
