World Breast Feeding Week

Residential Tire Recycling Collection Event

Champaign County and co-sponsors are hosting a FREE residential tire recycling collection event the following dates:

 

Thursday, August 4: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

*Friday, August 5:  9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

*Saturday, August 6:  9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

 

*Please note that once trailer fills up collection will end

**Limit 10 tires per resident (no commercial, agricultural or oversized tires)

***No salvage yards or retailers allowed

 

ACCEPTED: Passenger and truck tires, Size limit: 17" or less on-rim or off-rim - both okay Limit: 10 tires per resident, collected for free Residents must be prepared to unload own tires

NOT Accepted: Oversized tires, including agricultural and commercial

Urbana Home Consortium Public Hearing

The purpose of the hearings are to receive comments and suggestions on the amendment to the FY 20/21 Annual Action Plan to include the HOME ARP Allocation of $2,970,773. Persons with disabilities needing services for this hearing should contact Grants Management Division at (217) 384-2447 (TDD 384-2360), or the City’s Americans With Disabilities Act Coordinator at (217) 384-2466. The HOME ARP Allocation Plan is the Urbana HOME Consortium’s budget which will assist individuals or households who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, by providing permanent housing, supportive services, and non-congregate shelter, to reduce homelessness and increase housing stability within Champaign County. The plan identifies any preferences being established for eligible activities or projects Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs. The Plan also includes budgets for HOME Programs by the Cities of Champaign and Urbana, and Champaign County, which make up the Urbana HOME Consortium.
