REGCAKES BAKERY CELEBRATES BUSINESS OPENING AND GRANT RECIPIENT WITH RIBBON CUTTING

The City of Urbana will help celebrate the opening of RegCakes at 4 p.m., on Thursday, July 29, 2021 with a ribbon cutting. The event will take place at 300 Broadway Street, Suite 142, at Lincoln Square Mall.

RegCakes debuted in 2015 in Pesotum at the home of Regina Johnson as a cottage food operation. After years of delivering cakes and selling from home, farmer’s market, and kiosks, as well as adding new products to their menu, RegCakes needed space to expand and have found a home in Lincoln Square Mall. RegCakes is also the recipient of the City of Urbana Business Opening and Business Development Grant.

The anchor of RegCakes is delicious cakes that are gluten free with an overarching goal to provide the community with things that a difficult to find in gluten free form, that are still tasty. RegCakes promises that non gluten free eaters will enjoy their treats too, which include baked cinnamon rolls, Hawaiian rolls, sandwich bread, cookies, and a variety of other baked goods. They also have many items that are dairy free, as well, or even vegan.
