The City of Urbana is a proud RAINBOW SPONSOR to CU Pride Fest 2021. Go here to see the schedule of events for this wonderful celebration of freedom. We hope to see you at the vendor fair in Downtown Urbana, Saturday, September 25, from 12 to 6 p.m., and at the CU Pride Parade which will start at 3 p.m., Saturday, September 25 at the Univeristy of Illinois campus, go down Green Street, and end up in Downtown Urbana.

The City of Urbana Public Works Department has approved a Special Event Permit Application from the United Pride Center of Champaign County for Pride Fest. On Saturday, September 25, 2021, portions of streets in the City of Urbana will be closed to accommodate the event.

Bike to Work Day is this September 14, 2021. Register for the event at the most convenient location to you and come meet us and other bicyclists in the community to celebrate Bike to Work Day! Due to the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 6, U-Cycle collection routes will be delayed one day that week. The Monday route will be collected on Tuesday, the Tuesday route on Wednesday, and so forth. Please continue to set out recycling curbside before 7:00 a.m. Thank you and have a safe holiday weekend!
