Sanitary Sewer Backups
If you experience a sanitary sewer problem, please call 384-2342 from 7:30 A.M. to 5 P.M. Monday through Friday or 384-2320 at any other time and state that you are reporting a sanitary sewer emergency.
Backed up sewer lines, line breaks, sewage odors and overflowing manholes are considered an emergency.
REMEMBER TO CALL THE CITY FIRST BEFORE CALLING A PLUMBER OR SEWER CLEANING SERVICE.
We will check the City sanitary sewer system and inform you of our findings. If the problem is not in the City owned sanitary sewer system, you will be advised to contact a plumber or sewer cleaning service. Please see attachment on property owner responsibility for sewer lateral operation and maintenance.
Homes or properties that have experienced sanitary sewer back-ups or flooding may be eligible to participate in the City's Overhead Sewer Program to eliminate the source of the back-up or flooding. Please see attachment below for more information on the City's Overhead Sewer Program.
