Youth Services Grant Program
The City of Urbana announces the availability of funding for grants to public or private not-for-profit agencies to provide community-based services for children and youth from low income families.
Through this grant opportunity, the City of Urbana seeks to fund programs that meet the documented needs of Urbana children and youth from early childhood (Kindergarten, Pre-K) through 22 years of age. Proposals should target those from low-income families with the goal of having a lasting impact on the community.
This grant opportunity focuses on three key service areas:
• Health (Healthcare, mental health resources, trauma support)
• Wellness (Recreation, after school programs, violence prevention, educational programming, mentoring)
• Opportunity (Workforce development, job training)
The grant period is July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022. Programs selected for the Youth Services Grant may receive retroactive funding to July 1, 2021.
The deadline for submission is Friday, December 17, 2021 at 4:00 p.m.
All applicants are required to register an account through Urbana’s online grants management portal: https://portal.neighborlysoftware.com/URBANAIL/Participant
