The Urbana Economic Development Division is seeking email quotes for a GIS/Aerial Mapping and Graphic Design software platform that generates a turnkey service for providing aerial imagery of community profiles along with graphic designs. This City of Urbana will utilize this information for the purpose of designing and developing effective marketing products to drive the local economy, advertise Think Urbana and booster tourism. The City of Urbana is requesting proposals from qualified firms of certified public accountants to audit its financial statement for the five (5) fiscal years ending June 30, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. The purpose of these audit services will be to prepare the Consolidated Annual Financial Report and express an opinion separately on the fairness of the presentation of the City's and other entities' annual financial statements. These entities include the City of Urbana, the Urbana Free Library, the Police Pension Fund and the Fire Pension Fund. More details can be found in the RFP.

MAIN STREET AND LINCOLN AVENUE WEST SIDE OF INTERSECTION CLOSURE

MAIN STREET AND LINCOLN AVENUE WEST SIDE OF INTERSECTION CLOSURE (LINCOLN & SPRINGFIELD RESURFACING PROJECT)

Beginning Thursday November 18, 2021, the west side of the intersection of Main Street and Lincoln Avenue will be closed for sewer work.  This sewer work is expected to last through Friday November 19, 2021.

Lincoln Avenue will remain open in both directions, but turns onto Main Street will not be allowed for the westbound direction.  The east side of Main and Lincoln will not be affected. Properties on Main Street will be accessible from Main Street but vehicles will need to detour around and come from the west.  

All roadway users are encouraged to travel carefully through this and all construction areas.  Please do not drive through areas closed off to through traffic.  Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this project.

Future closures will be announced as they arise during all construction phases.

WINDSOR ROAD PATCHING PROJECT CONSTRUCTION START AND LANE CLOSURES

The Windsor Road Patching Project will begin on Wednesday, November 3, 2021.  The project is currently slated to run through November 30, 2021.  All construction activities will be weather permitting through the course of the project.

There will be periodic lane closures between Race Street and Philo Road on both the westbound and eastbound sides of Windsor Road.  There will always be at least one lane of traffic open in each direction throughout the project’s duration.

CHURCH STREET CLOSURE BETWEEN NORTH ORCHARD STREET AND NORTH COLER AVENUE

Church Street will be closed to through traffic between North Orchard Street and North Coler Avenue starting at 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2021 for work at Carle Hospital MRI done by Amaro’s Rigging and Moving Corporation.  Church Street will be open up to the Digestive Health Entrance.      

No through traffic will be permitted on Church Street between North Orchard Street and North Coler Avenue during the project. There will be a marked detour route to North Orchard Street to Fairview Avenue to North Coler Avenue.
