The Urbana Free Library's Mammal Fun!

Learn about mammals through this presentation from GEEB who will showcase bones from all sorts of animals and discuss how these different mammals live and can do different things!

Thank you to the Graduate Students in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology (GEEB), which serves to coordinate and unify the many graduate students conducting research in ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, including students interested in natural resources, wildlife management, modeling, conservation biology, and related fields.

Notice of Public Hearing Urbana HOME Consortium

The City of Urbana and Urbana HOME Consortium (comprised of the City of Urbana, the City of Champaign, and Champaign County Regional Planning Commission) are seeking citizen input regarding community needs. The City of Urbana is working to develop the 2022/2023 Annual Action Plan, which outlines the goals and budget for activities in Fiscal Year 2022/2023. A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. prior to the regular meeting of the Community Development Commission to gather input on the plan. Input can be made at the meeting or by email to grants@urbanaillinois.us.

Please follow these guidelines:

  • Trees must be at the street curb by 6:00 a.m. on your U-Cycle collection day
  • Trees with tinsel, flocking, lights or ornaments are not accepted
  • Trees with stands are not accepted
  • Trees in bags are not accepted
  • Trees must be visible (not under snow) at the City right-of-way or street curb
