The City of Urbana is transitioning to a new eProcurement system called OpenGov for publishing solicitations, and receiving vendor responses. Register your account early to begin receiving email notifications of bid/RFP postings.  Registration is 100% free for vendors!

Prevailing Wage Act

The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) requires contractors or subcontractors to pay prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics who perform work on a public works project. The City of Urbana (City) is seeking qualified contractors to submit proposals for the design, procurement, and installation of new residential and commercial geothermal systems at bulk prices lower than the prevailing single system market rate for new construction and existing building geothermal heat pump systems for the Geothermal Urbana-Champaign program.  Scope of project may be examined, and copies obtained, at the Public Works Department, 706 Glover, Urbana, Illinois, 61802.

The City of Urbana is seeking proposals from qualified firms for Employee Assistance Program ("EAP") Services. The City's EAP program is intended to help employees and their household members deal with personal problems such as alcoholism/substance abuse, family difficulties, stress, monetary/financial problems, legal troubles, family violence and other personal difficulties that might adversely impact their work performance, health and well-being.

CLOSED - Invitation to Bid: Demolition of the Webber Building for The Urbana Free Library (Solicitation #2122-003)

The Urbana Free Library is accepting bids for demolition of the Webber Building at 201 West Green Street, Urbana, Illinois 61801. Sealed bids will be due to The Urbana Free Library on January 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM. Allowable means for transmitting proposals: hardcopy.

The City of Urbana is requesting proposals from qualified firms of certified public accountants to audit its financial statement for the five (5) fiscal years ending June 30, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. The purpose of these audit services will be to prepare the Consolidated Annual Financial Report and express an opinion separately on the fairness of the presentation of the City's and other entities' annual financial statements. These entities include the City of Urbana, the Urbana Free Library, the Police Pension Fund and the Fire Pension Fund. More details can be found in the RFP.
