Prevailing Wage Act

The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) requires contractors or subcontractors to pay prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics who perform work on a public works project. Request for Proposals - Parking Deck Assessment, Rehabilitation and Maintenance Program

The City of Urbana is seeking competitive proposals from consulting firms with qualifications and staff resources necessary to perform comprehensive inspections and assessments of the City of Urbana, Illinois public parking deck located at 111 West Main Street. Firms will develop a long term and annual maintenance repair and maintenance program, and assist in administration of the program.

Request for Proposals: Server Room Cooling System Installation - CLOSED

The City of Urbana is seeking proposals from a qualified HVAC contractor for the installation of two (2) 2.5 - ton Carrier ductless split systems in the computer server room at 400 South Vine Street, Urbana, Illinois. Proposals will be accepted at the Public Works Department, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, Illinois, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Bids will be accepted up to and no later than 2:30 p.m., Thursday, July 25, 2013 and at said time shall be opened and read publicly.

It is the contractor’s responsibility to visit the site and become familiar with the project and all instructions prior to bidding.
