Prevailing Wage Act

The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) requires contractors or subcontractors to pay prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics who perform work on a public works project. Invitation to Bid: 2011 Mowing Contract

The City of Urbana Environmental Management Division requests bids for removal of grass and weeds from properties that have failed to comply with City vegetation nuisance ordinances. Companies interested in performing these services must submit a completed bid form before 1:00 p.m. prevailing time on Monday May 2, 2011.

Division Avenue Sanitary Sewer Extension Project

Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time on May 18, 2011.


The project includes 225 lineal feet of new 8-inch sanitary sewer construction, 2 new sanitary manholes, pavement removal and replacement, curb and gutter removal and replacement, and other incidental work.
