FRESH Teen Hangout

Urbana Park District is hosting FRESH hangout zones for teens (grades 6-12) throughout January - April! Whether you enjoy drawing, gaming, crafting, socializing, all are welcome to join!

Free Wi-Fi is available. Park District staff will provide exciting and varied activities such as Nintendo Switch gaming, take-home arts and crafts, Chromebooks, basketball, board games, PS5, PlayStation VR and more!

We will also have a fire pit on the deck at Phillips Recreation Center, as long as weather permits, to enjoy snacks that you can make over the fire! All supplies will be provided; but feel free to bring friends who are teens, and any games or activities that you would like to share! Registration is not required. Latin American Story Time

Come with your children to the Latin American Story Time to listen to the bilingual storytelling of a book in English and a Latin American language, and sing traditional songs!

¡Los esperamos con sus niños a participar en el programa Latin American Story Time para escuchar la narración bilingüe de un libro en inglés y un idioma de Latinoamérica, y cantar canciones tradicionales!

Jumbo Games in the Library

Come play jumbo-sized games you know and new ones you don't! Come to The Urbana Free Library and play jumbo-sized games. Participants can play Giant Connect Four, Gobblet Gobblers (advanced Tic-Tac-Toe), and other fun games. Snacks and treats will be provided! No registration required.

Join us for the Inauguration Celebration for Urbana Poet Laureate, Ja Nelle Davenport-Pleasure on Sunday, February 26, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. hosted at Spurlock Museum. Hear poetry performances, live music from New Souls, and other updates about future Poet Laureate programming. This celebration is free and open to the public!
