Let's Learn About Mentoring!

CU 1 to 1New Mentors Needed

The C-U 1 to 1 Mentoring Program needs YOU! Do you get frustrated by the "way things are" in our world today? You can help make an impact by mentoring. Show our children that they are valued, and that they can truly make a difference! YES, YOU CAN DO THIS!!

C-U 1 to 1 is a school-based mentoring program. Mentoring takes place during the school day, on school grounds. Mentoring has been shown to help students feel cared about, make better choices, improve academic performance, and make goals for the future.

Many students in grades 3-7 in Urbana and Champaign Schools are currently looking for a mentor. The application process to become a mentor is simple: written application, interview, background check and one two-hour training. Applications will be available on January 23rd.
