City of Urbana business offices will be closed, Monday, January 20, 2020, in observance of the holiday honoring the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. They will reopen on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at 8 a.m.
Join Inaugural Urbana Poet Laureate, Will Reger, for an evening of poetry from selected local writers. Each poet will present a short reading, followed by a reading from the Poet Laureate. Selected writers include:

The City of Urbana’s Arts and Culture Program and Krannert Center for the Performing Arts welcomes Urbana’s inaugural Poet Laureate Will Reger to celebrate the release of his new poetry book Petroglyphs. The event will include live music, a welcome by Urbana Mayor Diane Wolfe Marlin, an introduction by Urbana Arts and Culture Coordinator Rachel Storm, and remarks and poetry reading by Will Reger.
Come explore the arts! Join us for the next installment of our Young Artist’s Studio with local artist Gina Johnson for a chance to paint a canvas in conjunction with the Paint Your Goodthingz exhibit in the first floor display case of the Urbana Free Library. Youth participants will have all materials supplied to them. Roll up those sleeves and get ready to paint a picture of the things that give you joy.
Young Artist's Studio is a series of art workshops sponsored by The Urbana Free Library and The Urbana Arts & Culture Program designed to offer youth an opportunity to explore the arts. All events in the series are free and open to the public.

Thursday's route will be collected on Friday, and Friday's route will be collected on Saturday. Please remember to set the recycle bin at the street curb before 7:00 a.m. to ensure collection.
