Prevailing Wage Act

The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) requires contractors or subcontractors to pay prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics who perform work on a public works project. Request for Proposals: Server Room Cooling System Installation - CLOSED

The City of Urbana is seeking proposals from a qualified HVAC contractor for the installation of two (2) 2.5 - ton Carrier ductless split systems in the computer server room at 400 South Vine Street, Urbana, Illinois. Proposals will be accepted at the Public Works Department, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, Illinois, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Bids will be accepted up to and no later than 2:30 p.m., Thursday, July 25, 2013 and at said time shall be opened and read publicly.

It is the contractor’s responsibility to visit the site and become familiar with the project and all instructions prior to bidding.

The City of Urbana, Environmental Management Division, is seeking bids for removal of refuse and debris from properties that have failed to comply with City nuisance ordinances.  If your company is interested in performing these services, you must submit a completed Pricing Worksheet Nuisance Refuse Abatement 2013 Application with supplemental information before 1:00 p.m. prevailing time on Friday, July 19, 2013 to 706 S. Glover Ave., Urbana, IL  61802.

The City of Urbana is accepting bids to purchase the following item(s). All item(s) must be new, not used or reconditioned.

Items: 75 – 3.4 Ghz Intel Core i5 Computers as specified below.

The computers must be Windows 7 x64 compatible with Windows Install DVD, driver CD/DVD for all components and be FCC 'B' certified. Attached are instructions to bidders, the City's Equal Employment Opportunity (E.E.O.) Workforce Statistics Form, Purchasing Certification Form and itemized listings of the minimum specifications for the equipment that the City wishes to acquire.
