Prevailing Wage Act

The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) requires contractors or subcontractors to pay prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics who perform work on a public works project. Closed: Request for Proposals - 2018-2020 Sewer Clean-Up Contract

The City of Urbana is requesting proposals for the 2018-2020 Sewer Clean-Up Contract. This contract will involve work associated with Category 3 water damage mitigation and repair deemed necessary because of sewer cleaning activities. This contract will be awarded for a two-year period and the prices submitted must be honored for the duration of the contract.

All proposals submitted by the end of day (5:00pm local time) on Thursday, February 15, 2018 will be considered for this contract. The notice of award for this contract will be issued the following week.

REVOKED: Request for Proposals: Fire Department Vehicle Exhaust Removal System

The City of Urbana is seeking proposals from qualified firms for the design, manufacture, and complete installation of direct capture vehicle exhaust systems at:

  • Fire Station #1 (400 South Vine Street)
  • Fire Station #2 (2103 Philo Road)
  • Fire Station #3 (1407 North Lincoln Avenue) in Urbana, Illinois.

Proposals will be accepted at the Public Works Department, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, Illinois, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Proposals will be accepted up to and no later than 2:30 CST p.m., Tuesday, March 6th, 2018 and at said time shall be opened and read publicly.

The City of Urbana reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and to waive irregularities or technicalities based on the City’s determination of its best interests.
