Department Posts

Due to the harsh weather conditions, the Landscape Recycling Center, 1210 East University Avenue, Urbana, IL, will be closed from 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 until 8 a.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019. In case of an emergency, contact the Urbana Police Department at 217/384-2320. Please be safe and avoid traveling outside if possible.

Due to the extreme cold, the City of Urbana’s curbside U-Cycle collections will not occur on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. U-Cycle collections will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week. Normal operations will resume on Thursday, January 31, 2019.

At 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2019, the Interim Urbana Public Works Director declared the sidewalk snow and ice removal requirements in effect for the Downtown, University, and South Philo Road snow removal districts.

Due to the Christmas holiday on Tuesday, December 25, 2018, U-Cycle collections will be delayed one day for the remainder of that week.  Tuesday's U-Cycle route will be collected on Wednesday, Wednesday's route on Thursday, etc.  Due to the New Year's Day holiday on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, U-Cycle collections will be delayed one day for the remainder of that week.
