Closed Sealed bids for a supplier to deliver USL Dyed #2 Diesel Fuel on a regular basis to 901 N. Smith Road will be received and at that time publicly opened and read at the office of Director of Public Works, 706 South Glover, Urbana, Illinois 61802 until 1:00 PM on October 12, 2018. The City reserves the right to waive technicalities or to accept or reject any proposal or combination of proposals based upon the City’s determination of its best interest.

South Goodwin Avenue between West Oregon Street and West Nevada Street will be closed starting Thursday, September 27th at 6:00 p.m. through Sunday, September 30th at 6:00 a.m. for The Pygmalion Festival. Parking on this section of Goodwin Avenue will not be permitted during the event. We appreciate your patience while this event is underway.

Closed The City of Urbana (City) is seeking quotes to provide the City with equipment for solar powered LED enhanced signage. The City intends to install this equipment at two separate locations, with each installation requiring: a solar array, backup batteries, programmable timer, and a LED enhanced warning sign. Two-way traffic will shift to the eastbound lane of East Main Street in Urbana beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 20, 2018. Weather permitting, Cross Construction, Inc. will make a repair to the City sanitary sewer main in the westbound lane of East Main Street between Lynn Street and Cottage Grove Avenue. Main Street will remain open to through traffic for the duration of the project and the lane shift will end at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018.
