The City of Urbana is transitioning to a new eProcurement system called OpenGov for publishing solicitations, and receiving vendor responses. Register your account early to begin receiving email notifications of bid/RFP postings.  Registration is 100% free for vendors!

Prevailing Wage Act

The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) requires contractors or subcontractors to pay prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics who perform work on a public works project. Sealed proposals for the furnishing or delivering and installing materials required in the construction/maintenance of the 2017 Oil and Chip Street Maintenance Project will be received until 8:30 a.m. on September 13, 2017, and at that time, publicly opened and read at the office of the Director of Public Works, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, Illinois 61802.

Plans and proposal forms will be available in the office of the Director of Public Works, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, Illinois 61802.

Proposals shall be submitted on forms furnished by the City of Urbana and shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope endorsed with “Material Proposal, Section 17-00590-00-SC.”

Closed: Request for Bids: Storm Sewer Cleaning and Televising Project

Sealed Bids will be received until 1:55 P.M. prevailing time on SEPTEMBER 12, 2017 and opened and read aloud publicly at 2:00 P.M. prevailing time on SEPTEMBER 12, 2017 at the office of the City Engineer, 706 South Glover, Urbana, Illinois, 61802 for the 2017 Storm Sewer Cleaning & Televising Project (City Section 17-00587-00-SR), which includes furnishing of all materials, equipment and labor necessary to clean and televise approximately 43,300 lineal feet of storm sewer ranging in size from 6-inch to 60-inch diameter.

Specific tasks include water jet cleaning and tree root sawing; debris removal and disposal from storm sewers, manholes, inlets; and closed circuit televising and digital recording and internal inspection of sewer pipes.

All of the storm sewers under this project belong to the City of Urbana.
