The City of Urbana is transitioning to a new eProcurement system called OpenGov for publishing solicitations, and receiving vendor responses. Register your account early to begin receiving email notifications of bid/RFP postings.  Registration is 100% free for vendors!

Prevailing Wage Act

The Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et seq.) requires contractors or subcontractors to pay prevailing wages to all laborers, workers, and mechanics who perform work on a public works project. City of Urbana Invitation to Bid #2223-13 Sealed bids will be received at the Urbana Public Works Department for Solicitation #2223-13 Tree and Stump Removal.

The City of Urbana, Illinois seeks bids from qualified contractors to provide all supervision, labor, tools, equipment and services required to perform tree and stump removal work in the City of Urbana.

The successful respondent shall provide the necessary equipment and personnel to perform the services in a professional manner consistent with customs and practices in the industry.

CLOSED-Invitation to Bid: Parking Lot Snow Removal (Solicitation 2223-14)

City of Urbana Invitation to Bid #2223-14 Sealed bids will be received at the Urbana Public Works Department for Solicitation Parking Lot Snow Plowing Services for City of Urbana.

The City of Urbana, Illinois seeks bids from qualified contractors to provide snow plowing services for City-owned parking lots identified in the bid documentation. 

The successful respondent shall provide the necessary equipment and personnel to perform the services in a professional manner consistent with customs and practices in the snowplowing industry.

Bids will be received through 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 27th, 2022 and at said time, the bids shall be opened and read publicly.

The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities or technicalities.

CLOSED-Request for Qualifications: Ambulance Transport Service (#2223-15)

The City of Urbana seeks submissions from qualified ambulance providers that can provide advanced life support (ALS) ambulance transport services. Through this process, the City is primarily looking to achieve:

1. Better ALS and ambulance transportation services to City of Urbana residents and visitors.

2. Increased financial participation by ambulance service providers.

3. The ability to collaborate productively on future needs and projects.

The successful ambulance service provider will have the qualifications and staff resources necessary to perform and deliver the services to the City of Urbana as outlined in the RFQ. The City is ultimately seeking to enter into a franchise agreement with a sole provider.
