Weather permitting, periodic lane closures for pavement coring can be expected along Somer Drive from Lincoln Avenue to the bridge over the Saline, starting at 7 am, Monday, January 23, 2017 and ending at 5 pm, Friday January 27, 2017. Two-way traffic will be maintained on Somer Drive at all times. Motorists are encouraged to drive carefully through this and all construction areas. UPDATE: Cunningham Avenue from University Avenue to Kerr Avenue has reopened but is restricted to one lane in each direction at the intersection with Crystal Lake Drive. We appreciate your continued cooperation while this situation is resolved safely.

The City of Urbana will provide holiday tree collection to all residents for two weeks this holiday season on your regular U-Cycle collection day: January 2 - 6, 2017 January 9 - 13, 2017 Residents must follow these requirements:

Weather permitting, Green Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic just east of its intersection with McCullough Street starting at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, November 28, 2016 until 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016 for replacement of a water main. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the construction zone so delays are anticipated and motorists should use an alternative route if possible. Motorists are encouraged to drive carefully through this and all construction areas. Thank you for your cooperation while this improvement is in progress
