On September 19, 2016 the Urbana City Council approved changing the street name of O’Brien Drive to Napleton Way. Weather permitting, the existing O’Brien Drive street name signs will be removed and replaced with new Napleton Way signs on Wednesday November 2, 2016.

Weather permitting, California Avenue will be closed to thru traffic between Cedar Street and McCullough Street starting at 9:00 a.m. on Monday October 31, 2016 through 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016 for an emergency water service repair. Birch Street will be also closed to thru traffic between Illinois Street and Oregon Street starting at 9:00 a.m. on Monday October 31, 2016 through 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2016 for the emergency water service repair.

Weather permitting, all lanes of Windsor Road from Lincoln Avenue to Boulder Drive will be fully opened to traffic by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016.

Periodic lane closures can be expected on Springfield Avenue from McCullough Street to Cedar Street starting Monday, October 31, 2016 and ending Friday, November 4, 2016 for pavement crack sealing. Further information about the 2016 Concrete Patching Project – Part 2 can be at http://www.urbanaillinois.us/2016-Full-Depth-Concrete-Patching. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
