The Urbana High School Theatre Department is proud to announce its Winter 2013 production of Almost, Maine that will run Wednesday to Saturday evening, with a Sunday matinee February 6-11 in the newly remodeled Urbana High School Cobb Auditorium.
The romantic comedy, written by John Cariani, takes place in the fictional town of Almost, Maine, and centers on nine storylines, which take place on a clear and cold, moonless evening in the midst of winter. The Northern Lights hover in the star-filled sky above, and residents of Almost find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and often hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. Love is lost, found, and confounded. But the bruises heal and the hearts mend – almost – in this enchanting midwinter night’s dream. This delightful romantic comedy creatively delves into the vast mysteries of the human heart with laughter, heartbreak, and hope.
Almost, Maine premiers Wednesday, February 6 and goes through Saturday, February 9 at 7:00 pm. The Sunday matinee is February 10 at 2:30pm. All shows are in the Cobb Auditorium at Urbana High School, 1002 S. Race St., Urbana.
Please join the City of Urbana as we help spread the word about the many upcoming events commemorating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Sesquicentennial of the Emancipation Proclamation.
