Urbana Academic and Athletic Complex Opening Ceremonies

Schedule of events: 


4:30: Ribbon Cutting Ceremony


4:45: Informal Stadium Tour. Visitors will be permitted to enter the Stadium and tour the facility on their own.


6:55: Dedication and National Anthem. Opening Address/Stadium Dedication by Dr. Preston Williams, Superintendent and playing of the National Anthem by the Tiger Marching Band.


7:00: Varsity Football Game. Urbana High School vs. Normal Community High School. UHS organizations and Clubs will conduct fundraising activities.


Community members are welcome to a get a sneak peek of the stadium on Tuesday, September 6th at 4:30pm, with the purchase of admission to the UHS Boys Soccer game.


We hope you will be able to attend this exciting event and join us in celebrating our new academic and athletic complex. For more information about the ceremony and academic/athletic complex, contact the UHS main office at 384-3505.

Downtown Plan Open House

The Downtown Plan draft is coming together! Please join us on Monday, July 25th for the Downtown Plan Open House. The major elements of the plan will be on display, and we want to know what you think of the plan so far. Feel free to stop by the Urbana Civic Center any time from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Refreshments will be provided!

Wiley Students Celebrate Positive Behavior with Coyote Fun Day

Friday, May 13th will be an afternoon of celebration for students at Wiley Elementary School. Sponsored by the PTA, Coyote Fun Day serves as a way to recognize and reward students for working hard all year long to meet expectations set by the PBIS program (Positive Behavior Interventions & Support). There will be faculty/student games, treats and lots of activities.


In addition, Wiley PTA has challenged students to try to collect $1500 worth of Box Tops by the end of the year. The PTA will sponsor a surprise activity for students to thank them for collecting enough box tops to reach their goal.
