Urbana High School Students Serve Thanksgiving Dinner

Date:
November 24, 2011 - 5:00pm to 7:00pm

Urbana High School students have a history of service to the community on Thanksgiving Day. That tradition continues this year as members of the UHS Senate and other volunteers will serve their 40th annual Thanksgiving dinner from 5:00 p.m., until 7:00 p.m., at Urbana High School, Thanksgiving Day, November 24, 2011.

The dinner is completely free and reservations are not necessary. There is no paperwork involved, and it allows all to simply walk in the UHS Commons, sit down and enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. Local businesses supply the food, and the high school pays for the dinner from money collected through school fundraisers. Volunteers are also available to pick up those who would like to attend the dinner, but do not have a ride.

UHS is currently looking for volunteers to cook, drive, serve, and set up. If you would like to volunteer, please contact UHS Student Senate. They also accept and appreciate monetary donations. Contact the UHS Student Senate at 217-384-3505 ext. 36.

For more information about the UHS Thanksgiving Dinner, please call the high school at 384-3505.
