2017 Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Fair

Event Flyer modified for webPlease join Urbana’s Market at the Square and The Land Connection for the Third Annual Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Fair on Friday, March 3rd from 4-7 p.m. at the Urbana Civic Center, located at 108 East Water Street in Urbana. 

At the Third Annual CSA Fair, customers will have the opportunity to meet local farmers and businesses that offer CSA programs and buying clubs, learn about their farms or businesses, and select a share or club that best meets their needs!  There will also be educational information about local food, free samples and recipes, free activities for children, music, and more.

UPTV Annual Membership Meeting & Holiday Party

UPTV community producers and members of the public are invited to attend this annual membership meeting and holiday party. We will discuss UPTV's accomplishments over the past year and look forward to what's next for UPTV. It's also a great chance to get to chat with the people you see on UPTV every week. Maximize Your Credit Score Open House

The event will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm at Habitat for Humanity of Champaign County (119 E. University Ave., Champaign, IL). This event is free and open for anyone to attend. Meet with specialists one-on-one to learn specific techniques to improve your credit score. Credit reports can be obtained during the event. America Recycles Day 2016

Join U-Cycle and the Urbana Park District as we celebrate America Recycles Day! 

This year's theme is "It's Electric!"  We will focus on the importance of electronics recycling, including resources on where to bring electronic devices to recycle in the community, and how to trouble-shoot issues with your electronic device courtesy of The Illini Gadget Garage, an organization run by students at the University of Illinois.

Curtis Road Corridor Study Public Meeting

Curtis RoadJoin us for an overview of the Curtis Road Corridor Study and provide input:

  • How do you use Curtis Road?
  • What are its current strengths and weaknesses?

The Curtis Road Corridor Study inlcudes 4.6 miles of Curtis Road from Neil Street/US 45 to High Cross Road/IL 130.  The goal of this study is to identify infrastructure that facilitates mobility within and between the surrounding jurisdictions as well as supports and protects the disparate surrounding land uses, including the University of Illinois agricultural research and educational fields known as the South Farms.

WHERE:  Church of Christ, 2601 Philo Road, Urbana (NW corner of Philo and Windsor) 

UHS Sundae 5K and Junior Sundae 1K

October 2, 2016 - 8:00am

Urbana High School will host their 4th annual UHS Sundae 5K Run and Walk and Junior Sundae 1K on Sunday, October 2. The race will begin at 8 am, with a 7 to 7:45am race day check-in.

The race will begin at Broadway and Washington in the UHS parking lot and traverse through the state-street area of West Urbana. Street Closing Information

There will also be a Sundae Junior 1K run that day. All proceeds from this event will go directly to the UHS athletic department.

Snacks and treats will be available for all participants and there will be raffle giveaways at the finish of the race in the McKinley Athletic Complex. The top three male and female finishers in the 5K Run and Walk will receive gift certificates from Body ‘n’ Sole. All participants in the Junior 1K will receive a ribbon. You must be 10 years of age and younger to participate in the Junior 1K.
