National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

Date:
January 9, 2019 - 5:00pm

Urbana Police Department gives us a priceless gift

Across the country on January 9, citizens take the lead on National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Law Enforcement Officers of every rank and file have chosen a profession that puts their life on the line every day for their communities. They’ve answered a call to public service that is demanding and often unappreciated. On National Law Enforcement Day, we have an opportunity to thank them for their service and offer a token of respect. Here in the City of Urbana, we want to thank our officers who put themselves in our community to keep the peace. We thank you for your tireless work to make our community the best place to live, work and play. We can feel safe because of our Urbana Police Department. That is a priceless gift!
