Department Posts

Lynn Street will be closed at Windsor Road starting 7 am Friday August 22 until further notice. Access to the residential area north of Windsor Road will be available by using Scovill Street from either Philo Road or Vine Street. The City of Urbana will hold a Public Open House on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Urbana Civic Center, located at 108 East Water Street, to provide information concerning the upcoming 2014 Motor Fuel Tax Resurfacing Project.

Country Club Road will be closed from Broadway Avenue to Cunningham Avenue (US 45) beginning Monday, July 14, 2014. This project is expected to continue until July 29, 2014, weather permitting. The contractor for this project is Open Road Paving from Urbana, Illinois. The project consists of the reconstruction of Country Club Road. The proposed work will entail the removal of the existing pavement to allow for placement of a new hot-mix asphalt pavement. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

U-Cycle will not collect on Friday, July 4, due to the Independence Day holiday.  Residents on the Friday U-Cycle route will be collected on Saturday, July 5.  Please ensure recycling is set at the curb before 7 AM.

BID CLOSED The City of Urbana, Environmental Sustainability Division, is seeking bids for removal of refuse and debris from properties that have failed to comply with City nuisance ordinances. If your company is interested in performing these services, you must submit a completed Pricing Worksheet with supplemental information before 2:00 p.m. Central time on Friday July 18, 2014 to 706 S. Glover Ave., Urbana, IL 61802.
