On Sunday, June 1, 2014, Race Street from Main Street to Water Street will be closed from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. for the Community Center for the Arts Race Street Bash. Please note that the Courier Café and the alley to the south of that building will be accessible during this time. Your patience is appreciated while this event is underway.

THE BID REQUEST IS NOW CLOSED Specifications may be obtained in PDF format below, or from the Office of the Director of Public Works, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, Illinois 61802 for Custodial Contract Services for City of Urbana Facilities. Bids will be received through 2:30 P.M., Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at the Public Works Department, and at said time the bids shall be opened and read publicly.

Willowview Road between Cunningham Avenue and Clifford Drive will be fully opened to the public at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2014. Further information about this project can be found on the City website at http://urbanaillinois.us/projects/miscellaneous-street-reconstruction-projects

Park Street will be fully opened to the public at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2014. The project consists of the reconstruction of Park Street from Cunningham Avenue (US 45) to Maple Street. The proposed work will entail the removal of the existing pavement to allow for placement of a new hot-mix asphalt pavement. The City of Urbana will hold a Public Open House Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Philo Road Church of Christ, 2601 South Philo Road to provide information concerning the upcoming Windsor Road Improvement Project.
