BID CLOSED The City of Urbana, Environmental Sustainability Division, is seeking bids for removal of refuse and debris from properties that have failed to comply with City nuisance ordinances. If your company is interested in performing these services, you must submit a completed Pricing Worksheet with supplemental information before 2:00 p.m. Central time on Friday July 18, 2014 to 706 S. Weather permitting, Mathews Avenue from Green Street to Springfield Avenue will be closed to thru traffic from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2014 to set up and operate a crane. There will be no detour route for this closure. Your patience is appreciated while this work is underway.

THE BID REQUEST IS NOW CLOSED Specifications may be obtained in PDF format below, or from the Office of the Director of Public Works, 706 South Glover Avenue, Urbana, Illinois 61802 for Digital Photocopy Equipment and Supplies for the Public Works Facility. Bids will be received through 1:00 P.M., Thursday, June 26, 2014 in the second-floor conference room at Public Works. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities and technicalities.

O’Neil Brothers will be doing channel work as a part of the Boneyard Creek Improvements Project.  In order to perform bypass pumping while the channel work is occurring, Griggs Street between Race Street and Central Avenue will be closed to through traffic.  The closure is scheduled to begin on Wednesday June 4, 2014 at 7 A.M. and extend through Friday June 13, 2014 at 6:00 P.M., weather permitting.
